What we are actually hired to do

Strategic business consulting

We take the question the board keeps re-opening — a market, a margin, a make-or-buy — and turn it into a decision with the numbers and the trade-offs written down beside it.

Process optimisation workshops

Your people in a room with the real process on the wall: handoffs, waiting time, rework. You leave with a redesigned flow and the owner of each step named.

Digital transformation advisory

Sequencing the move off legacy systems so orders keep going out while it happens. We advise on architecture, vendor selection and the order the work has to be done in.

Data and analytics advisory

From scattered spreadsheets to one set of definitions. We agree what a customer, an order and a margin mean, then design the reporting that managers will actually open.

A companion app for our clients

Clients follow their engagement in our own mobile app: current workstreams, documents, decisions logged and the next session in the calendar. Access comes with the engagement.

Ways to start

Most engagements begin with one of these and grow from there.

Most requested

Strategy review

A structured look at where the business makes money and where it leaks, ending in a prioritised set of moves.

  • Interviews with your leadership team
  • Review of current plan and numbers
  • Options with trade-offs, not one recommendation
  • Written summary for the board

Digital transformation roadmap

A sequenced plan for replacing or integrating systems without stopping day-to-day operations.

  • Current-state system and integration map
  • Target architecture in plain language
  • Phasing, dependencies and risk per phase
  • Vendor selection criteria

Process optimisation workshop

A facilitated session with the teams who run the process, aimed at one end-to-end flow.

  • Process mapped on the wall with the team
  • Bottlenecks and rework quantified
  • Redesigned flow with named owners
  • Follow-up check on what changed

Data and analytics advisory

For teams that have dashboards and still argue about the figures.

  • Agreed definitions for core metrics
  • Source-to-report data flow review
  • Reporting pack your managers will use
  • Advice on tooling you already own

Scope, duration and fee are set in writing after the scoping call — we do not quote before we understand the problem.

How working with us goes

  1. You send the enquiry

A few lines about the problem and the business. No form marathon — we come back with questions, not a brochure.

  2. Scoping call

We establish what is actually being decided, who has to live with the answer and what you already tried. If we are the wrong firm for it, we say so on this call.

  3. Proposal in writing

Scope, the people doing the work, the sequence, what you receive and what it costs — all on paper before anything starts.

  4. The work

Interviews, data, workshops and short review points instead of one grand reveal. Clients follow progress and decisions in the Calveris app.

  5. Handover

You end up holding the analysis, the decisions log and a plan with owners and dates — written so your own team can run it without us.

What clients say

★★★★★
They spent the first week listening to our operations managers instead of presenting. The redesigned order flow came from our own people — Calveris just made it impossible to avoid the awkward bits.
Martin
★★★★★
We had been putting off the move off our old system for three years. Getting it broken into phases, with the risk of each one written down, was what finally let the board approve it.
Ilona
★★★★☆
Blunt in the scoping call, which I appreciated. The app meant I could see where things stood without chasing anyone for a status update.

Before you get in touch

Do you advise, or do you implement?

Both, but never by accident. Advisory work ends with a plan your team can run; where you want us through delivery we say so in the proposal and name who is on it.

Will you work alongside our existing IT team or vendors?

Yes — that is the usual case. We work with the people already in place and with incumbent vendors, and we are explicit about where we disagree with them rather than going around them.

What is the companion app for?

It is for clients during an engagement: workstreams, documents, the decisions log and upcoming sessions in one place. Access is set up when the engagement starts — there is nothing to buy separately.

How small a company do you work with?

Size matters less than whether there is a decision-maker in the room. If the person who can act on the answer is involved, the work is worth doing.

Can you sign an NDA before we talk specifics?

Yes. Mention it in your enquiry and we will have it in place before the scoping call.

Tell us what you are trying to decide

A few lines is enough to start. We read every enquiry ourselves.

  • A consultant reads it — not an inbox robot
  • We reply the same day with questions or a time to talk
  • The first call is a scoping conversation, not a pitch
